Bella Dream Hair Review

Purchase at your own risk. I, however, cannot 100% recommend this hair due to my one bad experience. I have heard several testimonies ravishing in their satisfaction with this hair. But because I believed this was one of the best companies, I don't think I should have had any issues nor do I believe I received the best quality bundles.

My Hair Journey Recapp'd

image.jpg

I stopped getting relaxers 4.5 years ago in February. Since then, I texturized (2011), shaved (2012) and colored (2012) my hair. In addition to that, I have experienced heat damage, excessive shedding, a texture change and breakage. I cut the texturizer out (8 inches of growth) in 2013 and allowed the shaved portion to grow out. Since then, my hair has recovered in length but the density has not been the same. My texture is very coily with no exact curl pattern. I have not returned to taking The Mane Choice Manetabolism Healthy Hair Vitamin. I previously took it for 4 months over a 6 month period. I stated back in March that I would continue taking these vitamins for the duration of 2014. Because of the blemishes in my skin, I do not think I will return to taking them for a long while.

 Length Check

This is my first "official" length check. I haven't monitored the length of my hair as I've been focusing on thickening and strengthening my strands.

13 inches. I shaved the very back of my hair from the nape of my neck up about 2 inches in height. Those hairs are 9 inches long.

10 inches. Previously, you will notice my bang was about 13 inches in length back in March. It was breaking from heat damage, so I cut it to about 6 inches a couple of months ago.

    15 inches.

15 inches.

My sides (not pictured) are 14 inches long. My goal is to have my hair grow the same length when combed from the front to the back. That means my bangs and the hair on the top of my head would fall over the hair in the back of my head. At this time, I will be keeping my hair about the same length for a until my ends thicken. I don't like how my hair thins towards the ends. I've gotten my ends trimmed twice since I started this process. The longest I will let the back grow is to 15 inches and then I will definitely keep it at that length until the other strands catch up.

Remember, it is important to love your hair in order to successfully conquer this quest to long and healthy natural hair! I am still learning to love my hair but it is a work in progress.
