Is there a such thing as too much make-up?
People have more of an appreciation for makeup than they did back in the days. It is looked at as more of an art form to some. And of course you still have plenty of makeup haters and critics lol (who cares). Let's see things from their point of view for a second. Yes, make up is meant to enhance your beauty not totally recreate a new face. This is where the following question comes into play: Is there a such thing as too much makeup? The phrase "cake face" refers to those who apply too much makeup. The makeup sometimes appears to be seeping out of their pores. For instance, during the summer you can see the make up pretty much melting off their face. No one wants to purposely walk around looking like a clown. I love a flawless finish. I don't want you to be able to see the makeup on my face if I've applied any type of face product, such as foundation or concealer. Some apply it heavily to hide scars or blemishes. As far as everything else, drag queen make up is a no go lol unless you're a drag queen or creating a drag queen inspired look. The moral of the story is keep a light hand when applying makeup!
Is less really better? Or none at all?
I'm truly a fan of natural beauty, but I don't like when people try to put those who wear makeup down or try to make them seem like they're better because they're "natural." It is said that the more make up you wear, the less appealing you'll look without it. For instance, if you wear full make up everyday (like celebrities do), unveiling your makeup-less face would be something like crazy lol. I admit, I don't like walking out the house with at least eye liner and mascara. That's just me though. I refuse to look dead in the face when I'm in public.
How do you guys feel about "too much" make up? Or not enough? Comment!!!
