Childish Gambino

Donald Glover, better known as the very talented Childish Gambino, never ceases to amaze me.  A clever guy from California who harbors many talents such as acting, writing, rapping, oh and not to forget, he's a comedian. I've been keeping up with Donald Glover ever since his special aired on Comedy Central.  He's appeared in countless shows from "Community" to "Adventure Time".

Let's get down to business; what we're really here to talk about. His second album "Because the Internet" is nothing short of amazing! Although this is his sophomore album, I'd say that it is his best so far. The album has a total of 19 tracks. It also features some amazing artists such as Jhene Aiko, Azealia Banks, and Chance the Rapper, all of which added their own creativity to this project. Childish Gambino produced along side Ludwig Goransson for majority of this album. I AM IN LOVE. I think I've played this album to death. It takes you on an emotional roller coaster, but in a good way. With songs like "Worldstar" and "Sweatpants," it puts you in a tranquil mood. Then there are songs like "Pink Toes" and "Telegraph Ave" that make you feel a little sentimental. One of my favorite songs on the album is "Earth: The Oldest Computer." It is a party song with a hype techno beat. You can't help but dance when you hear it!

This album is truly one of my favorites! It is very seldom that I find an album in which I enjoy every song. I hope you all get a chance to hear the album. You can find it in your local stores or on iTunes

He is currently on tour, "The Deep Wed Tour." I really wish I could go but I won't be able to. For those who have went, leave a comment and let me know how it was!!! For those who would like to attend the concert, click the link to see when he's coming to a city near you.

In the meantime, get well acquainted with Childish Gambino:

So this happened….

I attended the Schoolboy Q concert on March 7th at the Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland. I was home for spring break and lucked up and got tickets. Schoolboy Q recently released his sophomore album "Oxymoron." His tour is called TDE Presents Oxymoron World Tour with Schoolboy Q. Yes!! World tour!! His tour kicks off in the U.S and will conclude in the UK. I really enjoyed the concert! The vibe was very chill and relaxed. The venue provided a bar for those 21+. I've been a fan since his first album "Habits & Contradictions." So I was very excited when he performed my favorite song from that album and a crowd favorite "Hands on the Wheel." If you love the Oxymoron album as much as I do, I encourage you to attend the concert. You won't be disappointed!
