This talented young lady is making a splash on the scene in the music industry. With her powerful and soulful voice, she captures her audience forcing them to want to hear more. We first saw Ms. Streeter hit the scene with a girl group called Richgirl. This group, composed of 4, had the harmonies of Destiny's Child, the hard beats of TLC and the sultriness of En Vogue. Although Streeter and the girls built a loyal fan base with a handful of hard-knocking singles, the girls disbanded and their Jive Records debut was never released. I was shocked when they broke up, as I was a huge fan of RichGirl. But now, Sevyn is back in action and taking the world by storm.
After group disbanded, Sevyn had the opportunity to work with singer Chris Brown, as they were under the same management team. She helped him pen six songs on his Grammy Award-winning album, "F.A.M.E.", including singles "Yeah 3x" and "Next to You," as well as four tracks on Brown's follow-up effort, "Fortune." Her voice can be heard on both albums and countless others that have hit the Internet.
Now out on her own, she is making big moves in a major way. Her debut single, "I Like It" is a thrashing anthem with catchy hooks, blistering vocal runs and a pulsating bassline that DJs and listeners can turn the dial up to the max. Since then, she has released two other smash hits, "It won't stop" and "Next." She has also put out an EP titled, "Call me crazy but...". I love this EP! It is packed with sexy and emotional songs that all of her listeners can relate to in one way or another. I really think she is someone to look out for and will be around for a long time. I look forward to hearing more from her in the future. Sevyn Streeter has the Zealous Edge stamp of approval.
