For the past two years, I have flown out to Las Vegas for the iHeartRadio Music Festival. There are so many eclectically beautiful people there; I usually don't want to leave. The festival is composed of 3 concerts with numerous artists. Tickets sell out fast and you need to have like Buzz Lightyear type Internet to score them. Clearly, I don't have super fast internet and am never able to score tickets to the Friday or Saturday night concerts. I'm satisfied by attending the concert Saturday morning as my evenings were spent exploring the city. From Zoomlining to night clubs, I enjoyed everybit of it.
We arrived late Friday evening. I was very disappointed because I wanted to attend Friday night's concert to see Ariana Grande mostly. But flights out to Vegas were set up weird that night and we did not arrive until 10:30 pm. I met up with my childhood best friend and we explored old downtown.
Excalibur Hotel & Casino
It's as simple as this. Great hotel. Great location. 4 pools. Huge Casino. Numerous onsite restaurants. Beautiful bathrooms. Comfortable bed.
I had nothing short of a pleasant experience at this hotel. It was right across the street from the MGM Grand Hotel, Garden Arena and The Village Lot.
The concert was cool. It was too hot for me so we went back to the hotel to nap mid concert lol. I only wanted to see Childish Gambino, Iggy, and Lil' Jon. The heat really wore us out and we spent the rest of the day sleeping and wondering around the hotel.
This day was beautiful. The temperature was 77 degrees and we decided to hit the mall and drive around the city. We went to Fashion Show Mall where we were greeted with a Macy's fashion show! This made my life.
Zoomlining up next! That evening, we headed back to downtown Las Vegas and conquered Slotzilla. Slotzilla is a giant slot machine that allows flyers to travel the equivalence of 5 football fields over the Freemont Street Experience at 144 ft in the air from the giant machine to Golden Gate Casino.
Day 4 was short and sweet as we had a mid day flight. We woke up early for a swim and then headed home.
