I first discovered this company on Instagram. Pictures of girls wearing their lipsticks always made the popular page. They caught my eye because not only are they bold and bright colors, but they are matte! Matte lipsticks are my favorite as they are very long lasting. Plus, I'm not a big fan of shiny products.

A little background info on Melt Cosmetics...

The brand was created by Lora Arellano and Dana Bomar, both professional make-up artists. Lora is now the make-up artist for singer Rihanna (blah). They both put their ideas together and came up with these brilliant lipsticks, which are not tested on animals and are 100% cruelty free.

The lipsticks come in these shades...

I purchased 2 lipsticks, "DGAF" and "Space Cake." These lipsticks retail at $19, which are inconveniently more than MAC lipsticks, but I think they are worth it!

The above pictures were taken with both flash on and no flash. When I first tried on these products, I'd have to say they were very dry. Once you swiped it across one time it began to get smoother and easier to apply. Space Cake tends to be a little more on the drying side rather than DGAF. I strongly recommend you exfoliate before wearing these lipsticks. You want to avoid having lipsticks built up in the creases of your lips. The flash in the camera tends to make them seem a little bit shiny when they aren't. The pictures without the flash are true to color. These lipsticks are very long lasting. I only had to reapply if I ate or drank something. The colors do transfer a little bit (for those who are worried about kissing). They also have a sweet cupcake type of smell to them which isn't too bad in my opinion. The lipsticks are beautiful and the texture is just like I like it…MATTE! I'm a satisfied customer and can't wait to get my hands on all of the other colors. Shipping was extra fast I received my package within a few days of ordering. I recommend these to everyone who love experimenting with color.
